How-to: Update your Contact Information
1) Log in to MyÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
2) Go to the Dashboard.
Once you are logged into MyÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, click on the Dashboard icon.
3) Go to the “My Student Record” section and click “Manage Profile”.
- Find the “My Student Record” section.
- Click the “Manage Profile” link.
4) Review how your name displays.
- Your formal given name will be listed in the Formal Given Name section.
- This is how your name will be printed on your Niagara College credential once you have completed a program.
- In order to make changes to your formal given name, you must present Government Issued Identification to the staff in the Enrolment Services office.
- Your Preferred Name will be displayed in your Blackboard, in the class list your instructors use and on your Student ID card.
5) Update your contact information as needed.
Use the form to update your address, phone number, personal email address and contact information.
Notes:
- You can only update your personal email address. You cannot update your student email address, which is filled in automatically.
- Use the “Phone Type” dropdown to add/change different types of phone numbers (ex. home vs cell).
Both your Home and Local address must be your current address. Select the drop-down to change Address Type and update both.
Important reminder for international students:
When updating your mailing address, please update both your home and local address to your Canadian address.
To help you with the format, here is a sample Canadian address with notes added:
99 – 100 Niagara College Boulevard (The apartment number comes before the street number and name. You do not need to include words like Unit, Apt, Suite.)
Welland (City) ON (Ontario – Province)
L3C 7LC (Postal Code – Letter, number, letter, number, letter, number)
Here is the same address without notes:
99 – 100 Niagara College Boulevard
Welland ON
L3C 7LC
6) Scroll down to opt in to our Urgent Notification System.
Opting in is entirely optional. The Urgent Notification System sends out notices via text, email and automated phone calls.
7) Be sure to save the changes you made by clicking “Save” at the bottom of the page.
